    NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Lees-McRae College track and field programs had four student-athletes named to the All-Southeast Region teams Tuesday afternoon by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Cody McNeely and Christian Lloyd were recognized from the men’s team, while Erin Bingham and Mekayla Boswell received recognition from the women’s team.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s soccer team announced information on its upcoming summer camps Tuesday afternoon. LMC will hold a kids camp on June 26-30 before holding a residential ID camp on August 2-5. Both camps will take place at the LMC Athletic Complex.

    CENTRAL, S.C. – The Lees-McRae College track and field programs notched six podium finishes on the final day of the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships on Saturday. The men’s team finished sixth among the nine teams with 50 points, while the women’s team was tied for fifth with 51 points out of 10 teams.
  • Alec Molander named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse player Alec Molander (Victoria, British Columbia) was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team Saturday morning by the league office. Molander is the first Bobcat to receive All-Conference honors since former goalkeeper Ryan Harrison also earned second team honors in 2013.

    BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College softball team pushed the No. 6 team in the nation to the brink of elimination Saturday afternoon in the Conference Carolinas Tournament. However, the sixth-ranked Falcons edged the Bobcats in 10 innings, 2-1. The loss ends the 2017 season for Lees-McRae, and it finishes it with a record of 15-34.

    CLEMSON, S.C. – The Lees-McRae College track & field programs wrapped up the first day of the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships Friday afternoon. Overall, the Bobcats had three athletes qualify for the finals of their respective events for Saturday, and three more notched top five finishes in events that wrapped up Friday.

LMC dropped its first game of the day to Pfeiffer, 8-3, but rebounded to knock off Mount Olive by a score of 9-3 to remain alive in the tournament.

    The Lees-McRae College track and field programs had eight student-athletes named to Academic All-Conference teams by the league office Wednesday afternoon. Erin Bingham, Mekayla Boswell, Jordan Brigman, Makayla Estep and Kaitlyn Gearing were the honorees from the women’s squad, while the men’s team was represented by Joshua Goodwin, Colby Shell and Zachary Thompson.
  • Lees-McRae starts fast but falls to Mount Olive in Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals, 24-5

    MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team scored three of the first four goals Tuesday afternoon in its Conference Carolinas Quarterfinal matchup against Mount Olive, but the Trojans rallied to upend the Bobcats, 24-5. The loss closes out the 2017 season for the Bobcats. LMC finishes with a record of 5-11, which is the most wins in a season in program history.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s and women’s lacrosse programs had 10 players land spots on the Academic All-Conference teams Tuesday afternoon. Both the men’s and women’s squads had five honorees each. From the men’s team Dane Carney, William Eagle, Alex Gudewich, Allan Smith and Blaine Stottlar were recognized, while Callie Gregg, Sara Henderson, Tiffany Laster, Joelle-Sara Prata and Cheyenne Warrick were the honorees from the women’s squad.

By virtue of the win and a tie-breaking coin toss, the Bobcats earned a spot in the Conference Carolinas women’s lacrosse tournament.
