    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team unveiled its 2017 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The Bobcats, who will be under the direction of third-year Head Coach Rich Wall, are scheduled to play 17 matches this fall with seven of those contests set to be played at Tate Field.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – 166 Lees-McRae College student-athletes landed spots on the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll for the spring semester the league office announced Wednesday. Leading the way were the men’s and women’s soccer teams who had 22 and 20 honorees, respectively.

McPhail will be speaking on the panel for ‘The Big Picture of Intercollegiate Athletics’ discussion. The forum will take place June 1-4 at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis.

The men’s team finished sixth among the nine teams with 50 points, while the women’s team was tied for fifth with 51 points out of 10 teams.
  • Alec Molander named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse player Alec Molander (Victoria, British Columbia) was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team Saturday morning by the league office. Molander is the first Bobcat to receive All-Conference honors since former goalkeeper Ryan Harrison also earned second team honors in 2013.

    BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College softball team pushed the No. 6 team in the nation to the brink of elimination Saturday afternoon in the Conference Carolinas Tournament. However, the sixth-ranked Falcons edged the Bobcats in 10 innings, 2-1. The loss ends the 2017 season for Lees-McRae, and it finishes it with a record of 15-34.

LMC dropped its first game of the day to Pfeiffer, 8-3, but rebounded to knock off Mount Olive by a score of 9-3 to remain alive in the tournament.

    BELMONT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s lacrosse team fell in the Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals Wednesday afternoon to Belmont Abbey by a score of 20-6. The loss wraps up the 2017 season for the Bobcats, and they finish the campaign with a record of 5-10 overall.

Erin Bingham, Mekayla Boswell, Jordan Brigman, Makayla Estep and Kaitlyn Gearing were the honorees from the women’s squad, while the men’s team was represented by Joshua Goodwin, Colby Shell and Zachary Thompson.
