BANNER ELK, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae College cycling team will host a five-day junior road development camp from May 24-28 this summer, announced head cycling coach Luke Winger Tuesday.
The camp will be geared towards riders aged 15 to 18 that have competed in at least five races. Campers will train on the same roads Lance Armstrong used to prepare for the Tour de France, as well as the picturesque Blue Ridge Parkway. Elements of the camp will include the use of state-of-the-art video analysis and statistics to determine bike fit, time-trials up some of the hardest climbs in the country, as well as instruction on how to sprint like a Pro.
Registration is open to a maximum of 25 riders; a minimum of five female riders are required in order to run the women's portion of the camp. The camp is available at a cost of $500 per camper. Riders interested in registering for the camp may do so at the registration link below.
