INDIANAPOLIS --- Junior DJ Brown (Anderson, S.C.) is ranked 17th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage, and the Lees-McRae College men's basketball team is listed in four individual and team categories in this week's edition of the NCAA Division II men's basketball statistics, announced NCAA officials Monday.
Lees-McRae (5-11, 5-3 Conference Carolinas) is off to its best start to the conference season in school history, entering the week ranked fourth in the league standings after registering a narrow 72-68 win over Coker College on Saturday. The Bobcats begin the week listed 71st in the nation in three-point field goal percentage (36.9) and 96th in three-point field goals per game (6.7).
Brown has been a tremendous part of the Bobcats' success this season, entering the week ranked 17th in the nation with a 46.7 percent clip from beyond the arc, while also being listed 33rd in three-point field goals per game (2.9). The junior guard has knocked down 21 three-pointers in the last six games, connecting on 51.2 percent of his attempts to lead the team in scoring in that span.
Lees-McRae returns to the court on Tuesday when the Bobcats host Barber-Scotia College in Williams Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m.
