MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. --- Led by Raul Tutton's 19 points, a trio of Lees-McRae seniors combined for 47 points, but the Lees-McRae men's basketball team was clipped by No. 16 Mount Olive, 85-82, in a Conference Carolinas overtime thriller Saturday afternoon at Kornegay Arena in Mount Olive, N.C.

The Trojans (18-2, 11-1 CC) used a three from Jaquan Blount with 4.1 seconds remaining in OT to push UMO's win streak to seven games.  The Bobcats (10-9, 5-7) forced 23 turnovers, 16 of them via a steal.

Both teams shot the ball effectively while UMO went for 59.6% from the floor and LMC was good for a 48.3% clip.

Senior Sean Deniton (Durham, N.C.) scored seven of LMC's first 10 points while the Bobcats held a 10-2 lead, five minutes into the contest.

The duo of Jordan McCain and Dominque Reed sparked a 10-1 run to tie it at 16.

Reed and McCain combined for 47 points while amassing 24 and 23 points, respectively.

Tutton (Memphis, Tenn.) and Blount exchanged threes before senior super dunker Jacquise Moore (Concord, N.C.) sank a pair of free throws to give LMC a 31-29 lead.

Moore scored 12 points and grabbed seven boards.

Neither team could get much breathing space while a Deniton jumper put the Bobcats up 39-36 at the intermission.

UMO knocked down a pair of threes in the first 1:41 of the second half, but Coach Steve Hardin's squad matched it blow for blow while a Donte Falls (Shelby, N.C.) and Tutton layup kept it a one-point game.

Junior Kendall Isler (Winder, Ga.) hit two crucial shots from the charity stripe while the lead never got higher than three for either team the last 18:37 of the second half.

LMC's defense was strong throughout and allowed only three field goals over the final 7:57 of regulation.

Deniton and the Trojans' Dontrell Brite exchanged swishes from beyond the arc in the extra frame before a Moore layup tied it at 82 with 21 seconds left.

The Bobcats' final three fell short after Blount's three gave the ranked Trojans the lead with 4.1 ticks left.

Isler dished out four assists while Moore led the team in rebounds.

LMC welcomes Belmont Abbey Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. to Williams Gymnasium. The Bobcats throttled BAC 91-59 Nov. 25.
