Lees-McRae has a pair of road games on tap this weekend

BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's basketball team will play a pair of road games this weekend to close out the first half of its season. LMC will begin the weekend with a conference game at Limestone Saturday and will close out the weekend Sunday at Southern Indiana. Tip-off for the two games are slated for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.

Last Time Out – The Bobcats fell for the first time on their home floor Monday as they lost to Virginia State, 97-72. With the loss, Lees-McRae holds a record of 2-7 overall this season.  

Steal Stat – Lees-McRae currently ranks 22nd in Division II with 82 steals on the season. Leading these efforts has been Lepreece Lynch averaging 1.9 steals per game. Lynch's steals per game mark is the third-best in the conference.  

For Three – LMC has connected on 84 three-pointers so far this season, which ranks 30th in the nation. Jordan Turner has made more shots beyond the arc than any Bobcat connecting on 21 three-pointers.

In South Carolina – Lees-McRae holds a record of 4-7 in the state of South Carolina over the past four seasons. The Bobcats dropped their lone game in the Palmetto State this season falling to USC Aiken, 79-60.   

Last Season against Limestone – The Bobcats went 1-2 against Limestone last season. LMC knocked off the Saints 85-79 in Banner Elk, but the Bobcats fell to Limestone by a 73-62 final score in Gaffney. Limestone also knocked off the Bobcats in the opening round of the conference tournament last season, 75-74.  

Last Season against Southern Indiana – Sunday's game between the Bobcats and Screaming Eagles will mark the second straight season these two teams have matched up. The two teams lit up the scoreboard last season scoring 222 points combined. Southern Indiana got the better of LMC in that high-scoring affair, 118-104.
