DUE WEST, S.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's basketball team fell on the road to Erskine Saturday afternoon, 79-66, in Conference Carolinas action. LMC's record drops to 4-13 overall and 3-6 in conference play with the loss.
Erskine used a 15-of-18 performance from the free throw line and shot 41.7 percent from the field to open a 13-point lead on the Bobcats, 37-24. LMC shot just 25 percent from the field in the first half. Rishad Felton scored nine of the team's 24 points in the first after draining a trio of three-pointers.
In the second half the Bobcats were unable to cut into the Erskine lead as the Flying Fleet finished off the 79-66 victory. The Bobcats and Flying Fleet finished with 42 points each in the second. Lepreece Lynch led the efforts in the second half with eight points, while Jordan Turner and Keegan Crabtree both chipped in seven points.
Felton and Turner led the Bobcats with 12 points each on Saturday. Turner also paced the Bobcats with three steals. Additionally, Donte Falls led LMC with seven rebounds and Jonathan Honore totaled a team-high five assists.
Lees-McRae will return to Williams Gymnasium Tuesday to host North Greenville at 7:30 p.m.
