BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's basketball team will travel to Barton Tuesday evening for a Conference Carolinas matchup. Tip-off between the Bobcats and Bulldogs is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Last Time Out – The Bobcats fell to North Greenville on the road on Saturday, 81-77. With the loss, LMC's record sits at 8-18 overall and 7-11 in conference play on the season.
Playoff Positioning – Despite dropping its last game at NGU, the Bobcats did clinch a spot in the Conference Carolinas Tournament last weekend. The Bobcats, who will be making their third straight appearance in the tournament, could finish anywhere from the No. 6 seed to the No. 8 seed depending upon the results around the league this week.
Bench Mark – One of the strengths of LMC's team this season has been its depth. Lees-McRae's bench players are averaging 36.3 points per game, while its opponent's bench is averaging just 27.1. Junior Jordan Turner has paced these efforts averaging 12.1 points in the 20 games that he has come off the bench.
Away from Home – Lees-McRae will look to pick up a pair of road wins to close out its season this week. The Bobcats have a record of just 2-12 away from Williams Gymnasium with those two victories coming at Mount Olive and Southern Wesleyan.
Series Rewind – The Bobcats picked up a 91-85 victory over Barton when the two teams matched up a little over a week ago. Four different Bobcats scored in double figures in the win, including Turner who totaled a game-high 24 points.
