MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Mount Olive connected on 15 three-pointers to down the Lees-McRae College men's basketball team by a score of 88-79 Saturday night. The loss dips LMC's record to 8-6 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

Mount Olive used 10 three-pointers in the first half to open up a 47-36 lead on the Bobcats after 20 minutes of action. A large dose of this offensive production from UMO came from its bench as 34 of the team's 47 points came from players that did not start the game. Junior Kamil Williams was LMC's leading scorer in the first totaling 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting.

Facing a nine-point halftime deficit, the Bobcats couldn't seem to gain ground on the Trojans as they continued to put points on the board. UMO led by as many as 20 points with a little over three minutes to go in regulation. LMC cut the Trojan lead back down to nine by the end of the contest for the 88-79 final score.

Four Lees-McRae players finished in double figures Saturday. Williams led the team with 17 points and Jason Saintizaire added 14 points. Additionally, Jordan Turner contributed 15 and Quay Kimble chipped in 11 points off the bench for Lees-McRae.

The Bobcats will look to snap this two-game losing skid Wednesday when they visit King (Tenn.) University. Wednesday's matchup is slated for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
