The victory pushes Lees-McRae’s record on the season to 5-3.

Smith Tuesday in Charlotte before taking on both Bluefield College Friday and Bluefield State on Saturday. Tuesday’s and Friday’s games are set to begin at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s game is scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Fresh off its first weekend of regular season action, the Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team will return to the court for three games this week. LMC will begin the week with an exhibition game at UNC Asheville at 7 p.m. on Monday before participating in the Newberry Invitational on Friday and Saturday. At the invitational, the Bobcats will face Virginia State at 5 p.m. Friday before taking on Voorhees or Newberry on Saturday at either noon or 2 p.m. depending upon the result of Friday’s game.

Additionally, the Bobcats racked up 19 three-pointers made, which is also a new record for the program.

The incoming recruiting class includes two Division I transfers, a pair of high school players, one junior college transfer and a transfer from a NAIA institution.

Polsgrove comes to Banner Elk after spending the past three years working for Appalachian State’s men’s basketball program in various capacities.
