  • Men’s Basketball signs six for the 2017-18 season

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team announced that it has signed six student-athletes for the upcoming 2017-18 season. The incoming recruiting class includes two Division I transfers, a pair of high school players, one junior college transfer and a transfer from a NAIA institution.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Mark Polsgrove has been selected as the Lees-McRae men’s basketball assistant coach, head coach Steve Hardin announced Monday afternoon. Polsgrove comes to Banner Elk after spending the past three years working for Appalachian State’s men’s basketball program in various capacities.

    GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team fell in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament Tuesday night to second-seeded Limestone, 68-56. Jonathan Honore led the Bobcats with a career-high 24 points in the game.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – King (TN) University trailed for over half the game against the Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team Friday night, but it came back to defeat the Bobcats 88-81 after outscoring LMC 56-43 in the second half. The loss moves LMC’s record to 8-20 overall and 7-13 in conference play to wrap up the regular season.

LMC moves to 8-19 overall and 7-12 in Conference Carolinas action with the loss.
