Harrison earns first career all-Conference Carolinas honors

HIGH POINT, N.C. --- Lees-McRae College sophomore Ryan Harrison (Lake Mary, Fla.) has been named to the all-Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse team for the first time in his career, announced league officials Saturday.

Harrison earned a spot on the second team as the lone representative from Lees-McRae following an outstanding sophomore season, as the Lake Mary, Fla. native led the nation in saves per game for the second consecutive year.

The 6-3, 180-pound netminder made a total of 257 saves through 15 games, averaging over 17 stops per contest to move into second on the program's all-time list with 392 career saves. Harrison made at least 20 saves in six games this season, including three straight to close out the campaign. A product of Lake Brantley High School, Harrison posted a save percentage of .509 this season, which ranks eighth on the program's all-time list.

Lees-McRae is expected to return 17 letter-winners from this year's squad, including rising seniors Kyle Judge (Hampstead, Md.) and Nick Topichak (Weedsport, N.Y.).
