No. 13 Mount Olive trips up Lees-McRae Saturday, 18-7

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team fell on the road to No. 13 Mount Olive by a score of 18-7 Saturday afternoon. The loss moves LMC's record to 3-7 overall and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas action.

Blaine Stottlar paced the Bobcat attack with three goals Saturday. The three goals for Stottlar matched a season-high that the Clinton, New York native and bring his season goal total to 21.

Stottlar was not the only Bobcat to score more than one goal against the Trojans as Alec Molander added a pair of goals of his own. With the two goals Saturday, Molander moves into a tie for the most goals on the team with teammate Dane Carney who has 26 goals.

In addition to the performances by Stottlar and Molander, Luke Strong, Allan Smith, Tanner Jones and Carney all tallied points in the contest as well.

Sophomore Cameron Castle made 12 saves in 30 attempts against UMO Saturday, but was tagged with his seventh loss of the season moving his record to 3-7. Castle also led the Bobcats in ground ball pick-ups with eight and caused turnovers with two on Saturday.

LMC will return to action Tuesday when they host Brevard College in a non-conference tilt at Tate Field. First face-off is set for 6 p.m.
