MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Facing its second ranked team in as many games, the Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team fell on the road at No. 12 Mount Olive Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse action by the score of 20-3. The loss moves LMC's record to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in league play.

The twelfth-ranked Trojans jumped on the Bobcats early Saturday scoring nine goals in the first quarter. LMC made some adjustments defensively to hold UMO to 11 goals the rest of the way, but the early hole proved too large to dig out of.

Alec Molander netted two of the team's three goals against Mount Olive. Senior Tristan Hashemi netted his first goal of the 2018 season to round out the scoring for Lees-McRae. As a team, the Bobcats picked up a season-high 33 ground balls against UMO. Ryan Beauchamp led these efforts with five.

Cameron Castle made a season-high 12 saves in goal for the Bobcats, but saw his record dip to 1-2 with the loss to the Trojans.

The Bobcats will return to action March 28 when they visit North Greenville for another Conference Carolinas matchup. That game is slated for a 4 p.m. first faceoff.
