BANNER ELK, N.C. – Junior attackman Alec Molander scored 10 points (7g, 3a) to help lead the Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team to a 20-7 victory over Emmanuel on Senior Day Saturday at Tate Field. With his 10-point outing against the Lions, Molander is now the all-time leading scorer in LMC men's lacrosse history with 179 points. Additionally, the victory pushes LMC's record to 2-4 overall and 1-4 in league action in 2018.

On top of Molander's 10-point afternoon, the Bobcats had several other players with big days offensively. Freshman Craig Barr had his best performance of his collegiate career scoring five goals and adding a pair of assists. Fellow freshman Jonathan Barry contributed five points with three goals and two assists as well. Senior Tanner Jones capped off his career at Tate Field with six points with two goals and four helpers. Overall, six different Bobcats scored points Saturday with all of those players scoring two or more.

On top of their stellar offensive effort, the Bobcats also stepped up defensively allowing a season-low seven goals. The backbone of this defense was Cameron Castle, who stopped 13 Emmanuel shots in 19 opportunities. Sophomore defenseman Caleb Culverhouse also had a good day forcing a team-high seven turnovers on the afternoon.

LMC will look to keep things rolling next Saturday when it visits Coker for a non-conference matchup. First faceoff between the Cobras and Bobcats is set for 7 p.m. from Hartsville, South Carolina.
