BELMONT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team fell in its regular season finale at Belmont Abbey Saturday afternoon by a score of 25-4. The loss puts a wrap on LMC's regular season record at 2-6 overall and 1-5 in conference action.

Overall, four different players tallied points for Lees-McRae on the day. Junior Alec Molander scored two of the team's four goals, while freshman Craig Barr racked up a pair of assists against the Crusaders. Rounding out the point scorers for the Bobcats on the day were Jonathan Barry and Tanner Jones with one goal each.

Vicente Ortiz-Sanchez made his first career start in goal on Saturday. The keeper made 11 saves in 36 opportunities in his debut in the net for the Bobcats.

Even with the loss, the Bobcats will make their second straight postseason appearance next week when the Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse tournament begins. The Bobcats have drawn the No. 6 seed for the tournament, and they will face off again against Belmont Abbey, which is the No. 3 seed. That game will be played next Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Belmont Abbey.
