BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team will head to the Peach State on Saturday to take on Emmanuel College in a Conference Carolinas matchup.  The first face-off between the Bobcats and Lions is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Last time out – The Bobcats dropped a close one on the road at Barton last Saturday by a score of 13-12. The loss moved Lees-McRae's record to 3-5 overall and 0-3 in conference action.

Senior stamps name in record book – With a pair of man-up goals last Saturday at Barton, senior attackman Alec Molander now has 14 such goals in his career. It makes Molander the all-time leader in this category. Molander is now the program's all-time leader in points (239), goals (132), assists (107) and man-up goals.

Winning on the road – If the Bobcats can knock off the Lions Saturday, it will tie for the most road wins in program history for a single season. It would tie the 2017 Bobcats when they knocked off Montreat, Emmanuel and Chowan. After Saturday, Lees-McRae has one more road game remaining on the schedule at Chowan on April 20.

About Emmanuel – Like Lees-McRae, Emmanuel has already surpassed its win total from last season. The Lions are currently 2-6 overall and 1-1 in league action. Emmanuel has defeated Shorter (19-6) and Chowan (22-17) for its two wins this season.

Series History vs. Emmanuel – The Bobcats are 3-1 all-time against Emmanuel since the latter joined the conference back in 2015. After dropping the first-ever meeting between the programs back in 2015, the Bobcats have upended the Lions three straight seasons, including a decisive 20-7 victory last season.
