BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team will close out its 2019 season Saturday afternoon as it visits Chowan University in a Conference Carolinas matchup. First face-off between the Bobcats and Hawks is set for 1 p.m.

Last Time Out – The Bobcats fell in their last game by a score of 16-2 to No. 7 Belmont Abbey College last Saturday at Tate Field. The loss moves Lees-McRae's record to 4-9 overall and 0-6 within Conference Carolinas play.

One more win – With a victory over the Hawks on Saturday, the Bobcats will match their highest ever win total in a single season in program history. The other five-win season came in 2017 when the team posted a record of 5-11.

Another near record for Alec – Senior attackman Alec Molander needs to score just nine points against the Hawks on Saturday to break the program's single-season point record. Molander, who is the current record holder with 81 points back in 2017, ranks third in the conference with his 73 points in 2019. Only Liam Osborne of Belmont Abbey (85) and Larson Sundown of Limestone (78) have racked up more points this season than Molander.

About Chowan – The Hawks will wrap up their 2019 season on Saturday as well with the contest against the Bobcats. Chowan enters the game with a record of 1-13 overall and 0-6 in league play. The Hawks are led by the duo of Patrick Egan and Alex Ciabaugh who have totaled 49 and 48 points, respectively.

Series Rewind vs. Chowan – The Bobcats and Hawks have met just two times previously. Chowan won last season's matchup, which occurred at Watauga High School, by a score of 16-9. However, the Bobcats won the lone meeting occurring at Chowan back in 2017 by a score of 20-16.
