KANSAS CITY, Kan. --- The Lees-McRae College men's soccer team is ranked sixth in the NSCAA/Continental Tires NCAA Division II Southeast Region Poll, jumping three spots from last week's poll, announced NSCAA officials Tuesday.
Lees-McRae (10-3-1, 7-1 Conference Carolinas) has won six straight matches and seven of its last nine to vault into the top six in the region rankings. The Bobcats opened last week with a narrow 3-2 win at Pfeiffer University before notching a 2-0 win over Belmont Abbey College on Wednesday to run their win streak to five matches. Flagler College (10-3-1) enters the week ranked third in the region and 17th in the nation, followed by Mars Hill College (9-4-0) and University of Montevallo (8-3-3). The Bobcats are sixth, followed by University of North Carolina at Pembroke (9-3-1), Barton College (9-4-0, 5-3 CC), Lander University (6-5-1). Clayton State University (8-5-0), and Limestone College (8-5-0, 5-3 CC) are tied for 10th.
