GAFFNEY, S.C. – Six members of the Lees-McRae College men's soccer team earned All-Conference Carolinas honors Friday afternoon in Gaffney, S.C. Tom Deeley was named the league's offensive player of the year along with being placed on the first team. Deeley was joined on the first team by Pol Vassart and Harvey McMorrow. Johannes Oeksnevad was the only Bobcat to be named to the second team, but he also claimed the league's freshman of the year honor. Seniors James Morgan and Nathan Watt rounded out the honorees for LMC players as both players earned spots on the third team.
After earning spots on the conference's second team in back-to-back seasons, Deeley moved up to the first team in his final season as a Bobcat. Deeley currently ranks second in league in goals (13) and in points (34). The Oxford England native, who was also a two-time player of the week honoree, also is tied for third in conference with eight assists this fall. Deeley is the first Bobcat ever to earn the offensive player of the year award.

Vassart has steadily improved as well as he has gone from the third team as a freshman, to the second team as a sophomore and then up to the first team in his junior campaign. Vassart ranks second on LMC's team with 11 goals, which ranked third in the league to go along with four assists.

The Maidstone, England native was named the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week on September 18. Additionally, McMorrow scored the game-winning goal at Mount Olive earlier this season, has posted two three-assist performances this fall.
Oeksnevad paced all Bobcat newcomers with 16 points this season after scoring seven goals and adding two assists. Oeksnevad is the fourth Bobcat player to earn the league's freshman of the year joining Mark Sommerville (2003), Luke Perry (2009) and Jordan Wright (2013).
For the third time during his four years as a Bobcat, James Morgan was named to an All-Conference team. Morgan, who was named to the second team last season and during his freshman season in 2014, was named to the third team Thursday.
