    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team will welcome Anderson (S.C.) and Southern Wesleyan to Banner Elk this week as the team opens its home schedule. The Bobcats will host Anderson on Wednesday before SWU comes to the High Country on Saturday. Kickoff times are set for 7 and 4 p.m., respectively.

  • Lees-McRae Names Shane Calvert New Head Men’s Soccer Coach

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae College Vice President of Athletics and Club Sports Craig McPhail announced on Friday that Shane Calvert has been named the new head coach of the men’s soccer program. Calvert, who is the tenth head coach in the history of the program, brings several years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels to Banner Elk.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team announced its 2019 recruiting class Friday afternoon. This is Head Coach Rich Wall’s fourth recruiting class at Lees-McRae. In his previous classes, he’s produced the 2017 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year – Johannes Oeksnevad, as well as other All-Conference/All-Region selections, Harvey McMorrow and Agustin Ortiz. The 2019 class signings represent domestic student-athletes from North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, and Illinois – to go along with three international student-athletes representing England, Spain, and Sweden.
