HICKORY, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's soccer team fell to Lenoir-Rhyne by a score of 4-0 Sunday evening in non-conference action. With the result Sunday, Lees-McRae's record moves to 0-1-1 on the season.
The Bear offense was almost always threatening to score against the Bobcats. Four of Lenoir-Rhyne's 25 shots found the back of the net with three of those occurring in the first half. Lees-McRae, meanwhile, totaled 13 shots and five corner kicks in the contest.
Anton Sundstrom was saddled with the loss in goal for Lees-McRae after allowing four goals in 76 minutes of action dropping his record to 0-1-1 on the season. Logan Greene played the final 14 minutes of the matchup and made two saves.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Wednesday night when they host Anderson (S.C.) in their home opener. Kickoff for that matchup is set for 7 p.m. from Tate Field.
