Bobcats fall on the road at Tusculum

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Lees-McRae College men's soccer team fell on the road Wednesday evening to Tusculum University by a score of 2-0. With the loss, the Bobcats move to 1-4-1 on the 2019 season.

Tusculum scored a goal in each half on Wednesday. Edgar Cervantes netted TU's first half goal with Henrique Devens accounting for the goal in the second half. Overall, the shot total in Wednesday's tilt was fairly even with the Pioneers holding the edge 16-13.

Lees-McRae's offensive chances came from a variety of players. Eight different Bobcats attempted shots Wednesday. Agustin Ortiz tallied a pair of attempts on net, while Harvey McMorrow accounted for the other shot on goal for Lees-McRae on the night.

Sophomore Anton Sundstrom took the loss in goal for the Bobcats Wednesday moving his record to 1-4-1. Sundstrom made five saves on seven attempts in the contest.

The Bobcats will return to Conference Carolinas play this weekend when they visit the University of Mount Olive on Saturday. Kickoff for that matchup is set for 4 p.m.
