BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College swimming programs will be back in action this weekend when they head to Charlotte to compete in the three-day Fall Frenzy Invitational. This meet will take place at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center.
Last Time Out – Despite coming out on the short end on the scoreboard, the Bobcats showed stellar improvement in their last time out. Every swimmer that competed for the Green and Gold last Saturday at Carson-Newman either set a new personal-best time or a team season-best time.
About the Meet – Overall, there will be 15 teams competing in the Queen City this weekend that span all three divisions of the NCAA. The Bobcats will be joined in the Queen City by host school Queens (N.C.), Bellarmine, Catawba, Chowan, Converse, Gardner-Webb, George Washington, King, Lenoir-Rhyne, Mars Hill, Pfeiffer, St. Andrews, UNC Asheville and Wingate.
Preliminary races will begin at 10 a.m. each day with the finals for those events beginning at 6 p.m. Admission for each session is set at $7 per session (including heat sheet). A pass for the weekend is priced at $35.
College students with a valid ID will be admitted to the meet for $3, while children ages 10 and under will be admitted for free. Any children ages of 13-18 that have a 2018-19 USA Swimming membership card will also receive free admission.
