Swimming wraps up meet at Carson-Newman over the weekend

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Lees-McRae College swimming programs dropped decisions to nationally-ranked Carson-Newman over the weekend by a combined score of 290-78.

The lone victory for the Bobcats on Saturday came from Christian Nishimura, who won the 400 yard individual medley with a time of 4:07.64. The event victory is Nishimura's tenth of the season, which leads all Bobcats.

"I wanted to use the meet as prep for the Fall Frenzy coming up this weekend," said LMC Head Coach Sean Weddell. "I was extremely happy with the way we swam which included several life time best swims, and several season best swims. I am really looking forward to the meet this weekend and looking for some very good swims."

The Bobcats will be back in action this weekend when they compete at the Fall Frenzy Invitational in Charlotte. The three-day meet will begin at 9 a.m. each day from the Mecklenburg Aquatic Center.
