BANNER ELK, N.C. - The No. 39 Lees-McRae College men's tennis team earned their fifth straight upset over a higher ranked team with a 9-0 win over the No. 36 Tusculum Pioneers Sunday afternoon at the Baker Tennis Courts in nonconference action.
The win improves the Bobcats to 13-5 overall, while Tusculum falls
to 9-9 overall.
The Bobcats won in straight sets in all but one of their
matches.
Lees-McRae will travel to Pfeiffer April 8th for their next match.
With a Bobcat win over Pfeiffer, they will be the outright
Conference Carolinas regular season champions. It will be the
team's first title since 2001.
