TIGERVILLE, S.C. --- The Lees-McRae men's tennis team concluded its season with a 9-0 loss at North Greenville in Conference Carolinas competition Saturday afternoon in Tigerville, S.C.

The Crusaders (9-8, 5-2 CC) improved their postseason resume while staying a half-game ahead of Pfeiffer for the No. 3 seed. The Bobcats (3-12, 0-8) were unable to win a point despite Garrett Lakey's three-setter.

Lakey (North Wilkesboro, N.C.) snagged the first set from Santiago Robles, 6-4, in No. 5 singles action, but fell 6-3 in the second before coming up short, 10-7, in the third.

The duo of Taduez Poplawski (Asheville, N.C.) and Adam Chivers (Wilbraham, Mass.) hung tough at No. 3 doubles, but fell short, 8-6.

The Bobcats finished the season with three wins after going winless last year.
