Southern Wesleyan blanks Lees-McRae, 9-0

CENTRAL, S.C. – Southern Wesleyan picked up a 9-0 victory over the Lees-McRae College men's tennis team Friday afternoon in Conference Carolinas play. The loss puts LMC's record at 1-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play this spring.

The highlight of Friday's match against SWU was the play of senior Gabriel Muniz. Muniz pushed Southern Wesleyan's Urs Widow to three sets after dropping the opening frame. Additionally, Muniz teamed with fellow senior Sebastian Zuhr for LMC's best doubles effort of the match falling 8-4 to Widow and Siggy Menzel.

The Bobcats will remain in the state of South Carolina for their next match Saturday as they travel to take on North Greenville. First serve between the Crusaders and Bobcats is set for 11 a.m.
