BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's and women's tennis teams will have a busy start to the month of April this week with three Conference Carolinas matches on tap. LMC will begin the week with a trip to Limestone on Tuesday before returning to Banner Elk this weekend to host Chowan Saturday and Barton Sunday. Tuesday's matches are scheduled for 3 p.m. start times, while the home matches against the Hawks and Bulldogs are both slated to begin at 1 p.m.

About the Men's Team – The Bobcats enter this week's action with an overall record of 1-10 and a 0-5 mark within conference play. LMC will look to snap a three-match losing skid during this week's slate of matches.

Individually, Lees-McRae has been led this spring by senior Gabriel Muniz. Muniz, who has played exclusively out of the No. 1 position in singles and doubles for LMC, holds a 3-8 record in singles action and is 4-7 in doubles with fellow senior Sebastian Zuhr.

About the Women's Team – On the women's team, the Bobcats have seen improvement across the board in 2018. LMC is 6-4 overall and 2-4 in conference play, which marks the most wins for the program since the 2015 campaign. If Lees-McRae wins one more match over the final two weeks of the regular season, it will be the most wins for the team since 2010.

Balance up and down the lineup has been key for LMC's successes this spring. In singles, every Bobcat has three or more victories with Sandy Allen leading the team with eight wins during her first collegiate season. LMC has seen even more balance in doubles as all three doubles tandems have at least five wins on the 2018 season.
