BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College men's tennis team concludes its 2019 regular season hosting the Limestone College Saints at 12 p.m. on Saturday (Apr. 20).
About the Bobcats - The Bobcats enter the week at 6-17 overall and 1-7 in Conference Carolinas, with a combined 17 doubles wins and 39 singles wins. James Kirkham and Matt Meluch lead the team with five doubles wins, while Miodrag Popovic and Fitzgerald Lomp also have four doubles wins on the season. Two other doubles tandems have contributed one win each on the season. Meluch leads the team with nine singles wins, while Popovic also has eight on the year. Kirkham also has six wins in singles play on the year, while Lomp and Colton Porter each have three. Brandon Caldwell and Harrison Morris also each have two wins in singles play so far this year.
About Limestone - Limestone enters the matchup at 7-7 overall and 5-1 in Conference Carolinas, hosting Barton on Friday (Apr. 19) before coming to Banner Elk. The Saints have recorded 19 combined doubles wins and 32 combined singles wins. Marcel Agbegne and Pierluigi Neri lead the team with seven doubles wins, while Federico Garnier and Sacha Terrizzano have also posted four doubles wins. Enrique Moreno and Domantas Sadauskas have won three matches in doubles play, while two other doubles tandems have each posted one win. Agbegne leads the team with six singles wins, while Garnier and Emilio Samhan each have five singles wins. Neri has four singles wins on the year, while Guillermo Ortega and Terrizzano each have three wins in singles play. Sadauskas and Clemont Torres also each have one singles win on the season.
Series History vs. Limestone - Since 2006, this will be the 17th meeting between Lees-McRae and Limestone in men's tennis. Limestone leads the series in that time 12-4.
