Men's Tennis faces Mount Olive in Conference Carolinas tournament quarterfinal on Friday

CONFERENCE CAROLINAS TOURNAMENT PREVIEW

BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College men's tennis team will make its first Conference Carolinas tournament appearance since 2015-16 on Friday (Apr. 26) at 9 a.m. when the Bobcats battle top-seeded Mount Olive at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

About the Bobcats - The Bobcats enter the tournament as the eighth seed with 17 combined doubles wins and 39 combined singles wins. James Kirkham and Matt Meluch lead the team with five doubles wins, while Fitzgerald Lomp and Miodrag Popovic also have four doubles wins on the season. Brandon Caldwell and Colton Porter also have three wins in doubles play, while two other doubles pairs have posted one win each. Meluch leads the team in singles wins with nine, while Popovic also has eight. Krikham has posted six wins in singles play, while Porter and Lomp have also won three matches in singles play. Caldwell and Harrison Morris have each won two singles matches this year.

About Mount Olive - The Trojans enter the tournament as the top seed after clinching a share of the regular season championship with Limestone, finishing 11-6 overall and 8-1 in conference.

Series History vs. Mount Olive - Since 2006, this will be the 15th all-time meeting between Lees-McRae and Mount Olive in men's tennis. Mount Olive leads the all-time series 10-4.
