Tanis Signs with Lees-McRae College

Brad Tanis, from Midland Park, NJ, has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with Lees-McRae College in the sports of men's track and field.

Tanis, a standout athlete at Eastern Christian High School, was the State Champion the Parochial B Boys 110m hurdles and finis 2nd in 2004. He was also a State Champion in the N-P Group B Boys 110 m hurdles and 400m hurdles.

"Brad brings a lot of talent to Banner Elk and we are looking forward to further developing it and seeing just how far he can go," said Coach Craig McPhail. "We look to him to be able to put up some quality national marks during his time at Lees-McRae."

Brad is the son of John and Laurie Tanis.

Brad is going to major in Sports Management at Lees-McRae.

Lees-McRae College is a four-year, coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences, located in the fame high country of Western North Carolina, near the base of Grandfather Mountain between the Beech and Sugar Ski Resorts.
