BOONE, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College men's track team competed in the 2010 Appalachian Indoor Open Track Meet Friday placing five individuals and one relay team in the top ten at the meet.

Senior thrower Joe Daher highlighted the meet with a sixth place finish in the shot put with a distance of 12.82 m and a 7th place finish in the weight throw with a distance of 14.76m, which is a school record.

In the pole vault Jon Arthur, who provisional qualified for the indoor national meet in the team's first meet, again vault a provisional mark with a height of 4.85 m to win the event. Kevin Dever finished ninth with a height of 4.10m.

Bradley King finished eighth in the 400m run with a time of 52.28, and 4x400m relay team of King, Brad Tanis, Brandon Williams and Stephen Mostella ran a 3:45.78 to finish in tenth place.

The Bobcats will return to action at the ETSU Invitational in Johnson City, Tenn. on January 22nd.
