BOONE, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae College men's track and field team turned in several top-10 performances on the second day of the Mountaineer Indoor Open, hosted by Appalachian State University, including a third-place finish by Evan Webb (Salisbury, N.C.) in the pole vault competition.
Webb and Kevin Dever (Leesburg, N.J.) finished third and sixth, respectively, in the pole vault competition with marks of 4.44 meters and 4.14 meters. Bradley King (Hildebran, N.C.) finished 10th in the 55-meter hurdles race with a time of 8.09 seconds, while Chris Turner (Clemson, S.C.) placed ninth in the high jump with a mark of 1.83 meters. Corey Alexander (Atlanta, Ga.) also finished ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.01 meters.
Lees-McRae returns to action next Friday and Saturday when the Bobcats travel to Lynchburg, Va. to compete in the Liberty Open, hosted by Liberty University.
