School Record Falls at ETSU Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- Sophomore Tyree Reed broke a school record while the Lees-McRae track and field teams participated in the East Tennessee State University Invitational over the weekend in Johnson City, Tenn.

Reed (Phenix City, Ala.) set a new mark in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.02 seconds.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Gearing (Sautee, Ga.) set a school record with a time of 59.45 seconds in the 400-meter dash.

Junior Christian Lloyd (Irmo, S.C.) claimed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 4.15 meters.

Junior Kayla Powell (Moyock, N.C.) earned a 10th-place finish in the weight throw with a heave of 11.95 meters.

The Bobcats travel to Boone, N.C. Jan. 29-30 to participate in the Appalachian State Invitational.
