Four top 10 finishes highlight day one of Beynon Catamount Classic for LMC Track & Field

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College track & field programs opened competition at the Beynon Catamount Classic Friday afternoon in Cullowhee, N.C. In total, four different Bobcats notched top five finishes to highlight the first day of action in Cullowhee.

All four top 10 finishes for LMC came from the men's team. Lane Graves and Joshua Goodwin both finished second in the 1000m run and javelin throw, respectively. Kendall Isler was third in the high jump and Rishad Felton rounded out the top five finishes for Lees-McRae finishing fifth in the long jump.

A complete list of the top finishes for LMC student-athletes in each event can be found below.

Kaitlyn Gearing – Women's Javelin Throw – 6th – 30.67m

Mekayla Boswell – Women's High Jump – 9th – 1.65m

Jamie Colon – Women's 1000m Run – 10th – 44:45.57

Jennifer Johnson – Women's Long Jump – 10th – 5.26m

Joshua Goodwin – Men's Hammer Throw – 18th – 35.27m

Kayla Powell – Women's Hammer Throw – 19th – 35.10m

Competition at the Beynon Catamount Classic will resume Saturday morning.
