WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College track & field programs competed in their first meet of the 2017-18 indoor season Saturday afternoon. Overall, the Bobcats had four top 15 finishes on the day.
The top finish for the Bobcats Saturday came in the women's long jump. Kaitlyn Gearing logged a mark of 4.60m to finish ninth. The top finish from the men's team came from Nolan Capps. Capps ran the 3000m in 9:08.45.

The Bobcats will be back in action on Jan. 12-13 when they compete in the ETSU Invitational in Johnson City, Tenn.

Lees-McRae will return to action next Saturday when it visits Limestone for a Conference Carolinas clash. Tip-off between the Bobcats and Saints is set for 2 p.m. from Gaffney, S.C.
