BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's volleyball team will return to Conference Carolinas action Wednesday when it travels to Belmont Abbey. First serve against the Crusaders is slated for 4 p.m.

Last Time Out – The Bobcats dropped a 3-2 decision last Friday at Lincoln Memorial. The loss dropped LMC's record to 2-4 on the 2017 season.

Win Improvement – Lees-McRae has proven to be a much improved team from last season as it has already surpassed its win total from 2016. With two more victories, Lees-McRae will have matched its win total from 2015 and 2016 combined.

Senior Stat – Senior John Sobel notched a season-high 20 kills in Friday's match at Lincoln Memorial. It not only marked the first 20 or more kill performance by a Bobcat this season but it also was Sobel's fourth 20-kill performance of his collegiate career.

Freshman in the top 50 – Freshman setter Reto Pfund currently ranks in the top 50 nationally in two statistical categories. First, Pfund is 12th averaging 10.00 assists per set, while also being 47th nationally averaging 1.70 digs per frame.

Series Rewind – The Crusaders have had the best of the Bobcats as of late as they have won the last four meeting between the two programs. LMC, however, swept Belmont Abbey in the season series in 2014.
