BANNER ELK, N.C. – After back-to-back road matches, the Lees-McRae College men's volleyball team will return to Williams Gymnasium Saturday to host Pfeiffer. First serve against the Falcons is slated for 7 p.m.
Last Time Out – In its first road conference match of the season Lees-McRae dropped a 3-1 decision at Belmont Abbey Wednesday. The loss moved LMC's record to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
Leadership from the Libero – Senior libero Keenan Freitas was named Off the Block's National Defensive Player of the Night for Wednesday's performance at Belmont Abbey. Freitas, who finished with 17 digs against the Crusaders, currently leads the nation with 87 digs on the season.
Killing It – The Bobcats have a pair of players that rank in the top five among Conference Carolinas players in kills. John Sobel leads the league with 102 kills, while Wes Rogman currently is fifth with 73.
Second Set Stat – Lees-McRae has won six of the seven second sets it has played this season. In the second frames, the Bobcats have outscored their opponents 172-148.
Series Rewind – Pfeiffer has won five straight matches against the Bobcats, including a pair of 3-0 victories last season. The last win for LMC against the Falcons came on Feb. 14, 2014 where it won a five-set thriller in Misenheimer.
