BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's volleyball team will hit the road this weekend to take on Erskine Friday and Emmanuel (GA) on Saturday. First serve for those matches are scheduled for 7 and 1 p.m., respectively.

Last Time Out – Lees-McRae picked up its third win of the season last Friday when it swept Pfeiffer at Williams Gymnasium. LMC's record improved to 3-5 on the season with the victory.

Get the Brooms Out – In all three of LMC's wins so far in 2017 it has won by identical 3-0 scores. It marks the most sweeps for the Bobcats since the 2014 season where they totaled seven.

Conference Leaders – Seniors John Sobel and Keenan Freitas sit atop the conference's leaders in kills and digs. Sobel paces the league with 106 kills on the season, while Freitas has totaled 96 digs.

Ace Up Their Sleeve – The Bobcats notched a season-high eight service aces in the victory over Pfeiffer. Three of the eight aces came from freshman Karl Deichmann, which marked a new career-high for the Naperville, Ill. Native. It was the most aces for LMC since March 19, 2016 when it totaled 12 aces in a 3-1 win over Bluefield.

Series Rewind – Both Erskine and Emmanuel have had LMC's number as of late. The Flying Fleet has won the last six meetings against Lees-McRae, while EC swept the season series from the Bobcats last season. Lees-McRae last defeated Erskine in 2013, and its last victory over Emmanuel was in 2015.
