BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's volleyball team will hit the road for three matches this week. LMC will begin the week with a match at King (Tenn.) Wednesday before traveling to Pennsylvania for a pair of matches at Penn State against Stanford Friday and UC Santa Barbara Saturday. Wednesday's match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time, while the matches at Penn State are both slated for 5 p.m. first serves.
Last Time Out – Lees-McRae picked up its fourth 3-0 sweep of the season Saturday when it swept North Greenville at Williams Gymnasium. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 5-9 overall and 3-6 in conference play.
Freitas among nation's leaders – Senior libero Keenan Freitas currently is second in the nation averaging 3.15 digs per set. Freitas also leads the conference in overall digs with 167.
Freshman fitting in – Freshman Reto Pfund currently is 14th nationally averaging 9.81 assists per set. Pfund is also second in the same category in the same category.
Win Stat – With the five victories so far this season, the Bobcats have already surpassed their win total from the previous two seasons combined (4).
Series Rewind – LMC will look to avenge a 3-1 loss earlier this season to King Wednesday. Additionally, the Bobcats will look for their first win over King since the 2014 season. As for the matchups against Stanford and UC Santa Barbara, it will be the first ever meetings between the Bobcats and those two schools.
