WILSON, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's volleyball team put together one of its best performances of the 2018 season to date Friday night against league-leader. Set 1 – Barton led LMC by a slim two-point margin early in the first set (9-7) before going on a 6-2 run on the Bobcats changing the score to 13-7. Lees-McRae would claw back to make it 16-15 Barton forcing the Bulldogs to take a timeout. The Bulldogs scored three straight points out of the timeout and then again with the score 22-21 to close out the opening stanza, 25-21.
Set 2 – The second frame of Friday's match was ruled by offense. The Bobcats hit a sizzling .480 as a team on 25 attacks with 14 kills. The difference in offense was enough as Barton clinched the second, 25-22, to take a 2-0 lead.
