BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's volleyball team will return to action this Wednesday with a trip to rival King University for a Conference Carolinas tilt. First serve between the Bobcats and Tornado is set for 7 p.m.

Last time out – In its last match, Lees-McRae dropped a three-set contest (25-17, 25-14, 25-22) on the road at North Greenville last Saturday. The loss moved Lees-McRae's record on the season to 1-11 overall and 0-9 within conference play.

Schedule switch – Originally, the Bobcats were supposed to play the Tornado on Wednesday before returning home Friday to play host to Alderson Broaddus. However, Friday's match versus ABU has been postponed. Stay tuned to lmcbobcats.com for schedule updates throughout the spring season.

On the road again – February has been a challenging month for the Bobcats with all but one match out of seven having been on the road. Lees-McRae will finally return home on March 9 when it hosts Lincoln Memorial University at Williams Gymnasium.

Scouting King – The Tornado sit near the top of the league standings nearing the conclusion of the season's second month. King enters Wednesday's match against Lees-McRae with a record of 8-5 overall and 6-2 in conference action. Individually, a player to watch for the Tornado is Sean Kohlhase. Kohlhase is averaging 3.43 kills per set and boasts a hitting percentage of .262 in 2019.

Series history vs. King – The Bobcats and Tornado are no strangers to each other as they have met a total of 25 times over the years. King has the edge in the all-time series, 17-8. Lees-McRae will be looking to end a long losing skid against the Tornado Wednesday with its last win in the series coming in 2014.
