BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's volleyball team will make its longest road trip of the season this weekend as it heads to Missouri for three non-conference matches. Lees-McRae will take on host school Lindenwood Friday evening before taking on Quincy (Ill.) on Saturday and McKendree on Sunday. Friday's match is scheduled to get underway at 8 p.m., while Saturday's and Sunday's matches are set for 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. start times, respectively.

Last Time Out – The Bobcats dropped their first match of the 2020 campaign last Friday at Queens University of Charlotte in four sets (25-23, 25-17, 25-27, 25-18).

Strong Start for Sims – One highlight for the Bobcats in their season-opening match was the play of Drew Sims. The junior outside hitter led the team with 16 kills on 38 attacks against Queens. Sims also added five digs, one ace and two block assists to finish the night with a team-high 18 points scored.

Fresh Faces – Overall, five Bobcats made their collegiate debut last Friday. Bradley Peters and Steven Nalls paced the group of newest Bobcats. Peters dished out 33 assists to go along with five kills and four digs, while Nalls added 10 kills and eight digs in his first collegiate match.

About the Opponents – All three of Lees-McRae's opponents this weekend have played at least four matches so far in 2020. First, Lindenwood enters this week's play with a 2-2 record with its victories coming in four sets over Mount Olive and Saint Francis. Quincy, meanwhile, is 1-4, while McKendree has won three of its five matches so far in the early going.

Series Histories vs. Opponents – Despite being in a different part of the country, the Bobcats have played all three of their foes this weekend multiple times in the past. Lees-McRae is 0-4 all-time against Lindenwood, 3-3 against Quincy and 1-2 against McKendree. However, none of the matchups have been too recently as LMC's last meeting against any of the three schools was Lindenwood back in 2017.
