Cross Country closes out regular season Saturday in Greenville

BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country teams will close out their regular seasons Saturday at the Gene Mullin Cross Country Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina. Both races will occur at Furman University's golf course with the women's race beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the men's race following at 9 a.m.

The Bobcats have competed in three races so far this fall with the last occurring on September 23 in Wingate, North Carolina. The duo of Austin Thompson and Jordyn Halvorsen have consistently been the fastest runners for the men's and women's teams, respectively. Thompson, who was named the Conference Carolinas Runner of the Week on September 18, has notched the top time in every race so far in 2017 for LMC, while Halvorsen has done the same on the women's side.
