NEWTON, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country programs wrapped up their second races of the 2018 season Thursday night at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational. The Bobcats were led Thursday by senior Austin Thompson, who notched the 10th-best time in the history of LMC men's cross country with a time of 26:35.66.
As a group, the men's team posted an average time of 27:12. That mark was good enough for the Bobcats to finish sixth among an eight team field. As mentioned earlier, Thompson logged a top 10 time in LMC history. The senior from Cleveland, Georgia now owns six of the top 20 times in program history. On top of Thompson's success, Lees-McRae had five other runners finish within a minute of him. For the rest of times from the men's team click HERE.
