CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country teams saw several of their runners set personal-best times Friday night in Charlotte as the Bobcats competed at the Royals Challenge. The men's team finished 24th out of 51 teams, while the women's squad finished 37th among 45 teams.

Men's Recap – Senior Austin Thompson led the way for the Bobcats on the trails Friday evening. Thompson put forth his best collegiate time running the 8k race in 25:46. This time is not only the fastest for Thompson in his Bobcat career, but it also marks the third-fastest time ever recorded in the history of the program.

Not to be outdone, Joshua Hall (8th - 26:24) and Tristin Bertie (15th - 26:44) both posted times that rank both of them within the top 20 all-time marks in the history of LMC men's cross country.

Women's Recap – The women's team, meanwhile, did not post any top 20 all-time times but it did have a few runners post personal-bests. Delaney Colangelo (24:27), Jordyn Halvorsen (20:28), Kaela Kelly (26:50) and Maegan Prettyman (24:22) all posted their best collegiate times on Friday.

Next Up - The Bobcats will be back in action next Friday with races at the Lenoir-Rhyne Open from Newton, N.C.
