Cross Country heads to Southeast Regional on Saturday

BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country programs will be competing at the NCAA Southeast Regionals on Saturday in Wingate, North Carolina. The women's team will be represented by Deanna Betzer, while the entire men's team will run on Saturday. The women's 6K race will kick things off at 9 a.m. followed by the men's 10K race.

The Bobcats are coming off the Conference Carolinas Championships two weeks ago. The men's team placed third behind just Mount Olive and Emmanuel, while the women's squad finished eighth among the 12 schools that competed. Individually, the Bobcats were led by the trio of Betzer, Tristin Bertie and Joshua Hall. All three student-athletes received All-Conference honors after placing in the top 15 of their respective races. Both Bertie and Hall were on the second team, while Betzer landed a spot on the third team.
