    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country programs will be back in action this Friday when they compete at the UNC Asheville Invitational. The women’s race is set for 5:45 p.m. start time with the men’s race to follow at 6:15 p.m. at Asheville Christian Academy.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College’s Austin Thompson was named the Conference Carolinas Runner of the Week the league office announced Tuesday morning. It marked the second time that Thompson has earned this honor during his career as a Bobcat.

    NEWTON, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country programs wrapped up their second races of the 2018 season Thursday night at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational. The Bobcats were led Thursday by senior Austin Thompson, who notched the 10th-best time in the history of LMC men’s cross country with a time of 26:35.66.

    SALISBURY, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country programs began their 2018 seasons with a strong showing Saturday morning at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational. LMC’s men’s team placed second among the 10 teams competing, while the women’s squad finished fifth among the 12-team field.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s cross country team was picked to finish second in the annual Conference Carolinas Preseason Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ Poll on Thursday. Along with the team receiving the second place nod, the trio of Austin Thompson, Joshua Hall and Nolan Capps were all named as runners to watch for the Bobcats this season.
