GAFFNEY, S.C. --- Sophomore Sarah Tucker hit a solo blast in game one and three different players notched a RBI in game two while the Lees-McRae softball team was swept by Limestone at Babe Ruth Field in Conference Carolinas action Saturday afternoon in Gaffney, S.C.

The Saints (30-14, 16-4 CC) did all their damage in the bottom of the fifth. The Bobcats (10-35, 6-15) mustered two hits.
Freshman Kara Cunningham (Indian Trail, N.C.) and LC's Josie Weber exchanged zeroes through the first four innings of play.
The Saints plated their first run on a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the fifth.
LC's Tori Noland delivered the big blow with a grand slam to left center.
Following a walk and double, Sam Thornton capped off the scoring with a two-run double to right center.
Tucker (Monroe, N.C.) put LMC on the scoreboard in the top of the seventh with her fourth dinger of the year.
Cunningham (3-13) was responsible for the Bobcats other hit.
Limestone 13, Lees-McRae 5 (5 Innings)
The Saints (31-14, 17-4) claimed the No. 1 seed in the Conference Carolinas Softball Tournament while every starter recorded a hit. The Bobcats (10-36, 6-16) enjoyed multi-hit performances from Cunningham and Kasey Klutz (Leland, N.C.).
LC struck for four runs in the bottom of the first, thanks to six hits in the frame.
Paige Boldin connected on a two-run blast after Emma Swearingen singled home a pair of runs earlier in the inning.
Coach Jaclin Poole's squad responded with three in the top of the third.
Cunningham led off the inning with a double before Klutz singled to center. Freshman Karly McRary (Marion, N.C.) roped a RBI double to left center, 4-1.
Freshman Noel Cassidy (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) plated Klutz on a fielder's choice.
McRary cut the deficit to one, 4-3, after scurrying home on a wild pitch.
The Saints retorted with a four-run third, capped off by a two-run blast from Abigail Williamson and a sacrifice fly form Bailie Maybry.
Klutz doubled home Sarah Beth Ashley (Walkertown, N.C.) in the top of the fourth. Ashley reached on a leadoff walk.
Trailing 12-4, Ashley singled through the left side to plate pinch runner Valerie Hickey (Umatilla, Fla.).
LC's Caroline Hill ended the contest with a solo homer to right.
