Lady Bobcats Announce Signing

Lees-McRae College women's basketball Head Coach Sebastian Wild today announced the signing of Chahkia Harrison to a national letter of intent. A transfer student, Harrison will enroll at Lees-McRae in the fall of 2007 and be a junior on the 2007-08 Bobcat squad.

"Chahkia is a great kid who will fit in well with our program," commented Wild. "She is a versatile player who can play both the guard and forward spots. We are very excited to have her. She will bring a different dimension to our team play."

Harrison, a 5-9 foward, is a native of Baltimore, MD. She attended Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, FL. During her four-year high school career Harrison averaged 15 points per game, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

Harrison transfers into Lees-McRae from Faulkner State Community College, where she earned her Associate's Degree in Computer Science. As a former team captain at Faulkner, Harrison's experience and leadership will be vital to the Lady Bobcats future success.
