HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Lees-McRae Bobcats held the Coker women to just 19 points in the second half and overcame an eight point first half deficit to take home a 67-58 win in Conference Carolinas women's basketball action Saturday afternoon.

The loss drops the Lady Cobras to 3-20 on the year and 2-16 in the conference, while Lees-McRae improves their record to 4-16 overall and 4-12 in the conference.

The Lady Cobras struggled shooting all day, firing just 37.9 percent from the field compared to the Bobcats' 49.0 percent.

Coker did manage to cause 22 Lees-McRae turnovers, compared to just 13 turnovers for the Lady Cobras. The Bobcats converted those turnovers into 16 points, while Coker was only able to score 15 points off of turnovers.

Colette Montgomery led all scorers with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Lauren Casey dropped in 19 points and pulled down five rebounds with five assists. Sophie Witte was the third Bobcat to score in double figures, netting 10 points with five rebounds. It was Witte's first double-digit game.

For Coker, Henna Koponen was the point's leader with 19 points and six rebounds, followed by Kiesha Beavers with 11 points, four rebounds and four steals. Lucy Fish had nine points and four assists and Cassie Kirby had seven points for the Lady Cobras.

Lees-McRae will return to action Tuesday, Feb. 16th when Erskine travels to Williams Gymnasium.
